A former film student at UC Berkley who’s directed videos for the likes of Lil’ B and Soulja Boy, and had her work praised by Diplo and others, it wasn’t until her sisters urging that Kreayshawn picked up the mic. Now, the self-described rapper, DJ, director, swag-assassin, under-cat is one of the fastest rising artists around causing waves with her own debut music video, “Bumpin Bumpin,” which, to date, has amassed over 150,000 views on YouTube. Currently, Kreayshawn, who counts everyone from Andy Milonakis to Soulja Boy, Das Racist, and Good Charlotte front man Joel Madden amongst her biggest fans, is putting the final touches on her soon-to-be-titled debut album, which will be released this summer and preceded by a mixtape she’ll be releasing in conjunction with streetwear brand The Hundreds.
