With Fashionably Late coming fashionably later than initially expected (don’t worry, it’s really coming, June 22), Donnis decided to hop in the studio w/ 2 of Atlanta’s most respected DJ’s Infamous and Holiday and knocked out “The Invitation.” The collection contains mostly freestyles, and a few original records featuring some of Donnis’ ATL associates, recorded all in ONE WEEK. “Up and coming hip hop act Chiddy Bang was invited to come into Jay-Z and Steve Stoute’s marketing agency, Translation LLC. Cinematographer Kristopher Rey-Talley was on hand to document it, as Noah laid down a beat. Chiddy, instead doing a typical performance, decided to use his Emcee skills and spit for seven minutes straight with no break.
